A Return to Christmas: The Golden Age
A Theatrical Performance Program for Neurodivergent and Disabled Youth and Adults Ages 13 +
Professional Theatre Instruction
The program will be led by Alliance Theatre’s Artistic Director and Producer, Adrienne Shearer.
Through theatrical instruction, encouragement, and individual coaching, Ms. Adrienne helps performers strengthen their skills while feeling supported, respected, and valued as members of the cast.
Participants will receive guidance to:
Acting and character development
Stage movement and choreography
Learning and interpreting a theatrical script
Vocal expression and projection
Following stage directions and cues
Working collaboratively as part of an ensemble
Building confidence in front of a live audience
Join Alliance Theatre for a supportive, professionally guided theatre experience created for neurodivergent and/or disabled performers. Participants will develop their performance skills, build confidence, form friendships, and work together to bring a live theatrical production to the stage.
No previous experience is required. Participants should have an interest in performing and be able to participate in group rehearsals with appropriate support.

Wedenesday Evenings
6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
August 12 through December 2, 2020
Actors will be assigned rehearsal dates based on their individaul roles and scenes. Not every actor will be required to attend every Wednesday rehearsal. Each participant will reieve a schedule identifying the Wednesday evenings they are expected to attend.
As the performance date approaches, additional cast rehearsals may be required to bring the full production together. Any schedule updates will be communicated to participants and their families in advance.

Tuition supports the professional instruction, choreography, script, individual theatrical coaching, artistic direction, sound and lighting, technical labor, equipment set up and operation, staging, and other production related resources to bring A Return to Christmas: The Golden Age to the stage.
