About Alliance Theatre
Through our one-of-a-kind productions and educational initiatives, Alliance Theatre aims to spread joy and raise awareness about the importance of inclusion for actors with disabilities in mainstream theater.
We offer a platform for underrepresented artists, challenge societal norms and expose audiences to the vast talents beyond the abled bodied experience.
Additionally, our educational branch, Better Together Productions, provides acting classes for aspiring actors with disabilities, offering them the skills and confidence to pursue careers in film, television, and theater. Better Together gives them a chance to build social skills through play that will become tools they can use in settings outside of theatre.
Community Impact
Based in Houston, our work reaches families, schools, and community partners who share our belief that theater can be a bridge across differences. We are proud to be part of a growing movement that celebrates creativity, diversity, and accessibility in the performing arts.
To ensure cost is never a barrier, we provide scholarships for acting classes on a first-come, first-served basis to students with financial need. These opportunities allow young performers to gain confidence, build skills, and experience the joy of theatre who might not otherwise have the chance.
